As a Sourcing & Procurement Specialist, you’ll be at the front line of sourcing and acquiring critical components and services that power our robotics systems. You’ll work closely with vendors, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure materials and services are delivered on time, at the right cost and quality.
Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify, assess, and qualify potential suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and service.
Purchase Order Management: Create, manage, and track purchase orders from request through delivery and payment.
Cost & Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing communication with key suppliers to ensure performance and resolve issues.
Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities are well-documented and comply with company policies and industry standards.
Demand Coordination: Align purchasing activities with internal teams based on project timelines, forecasts, and BOM requirements.
Risk Mitigation: Monitor supplier risks and lead time fluctuations; develop contingency sourcing plans where necessary.
ERP & Procurement Tools Usage: Maintain accurate data in procurement or ERP systems (e.g., order status, vendor info, pricing).
Support Inventory Planning: Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to manage material availability.
Hands-On Procurement Experience: Work on high-impact purchasing tasks directly affecting robotics production.
Learning & Mentorship: Gain insights from seasoned procurement professionals and supply chain strategists.
Cross-Team Visibility: Understand how procurement interacts with engineering, finance, and logistics.
Career Growth: High-performing interns may be offered full-time opportunities.
Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Detail-Oriented & Organized: You catch the small things and follow through on documentation.
Negotiation Skills: Confident in dealing with vendors and pushing for value.
Analytical Thinker: Comfortable analyzing supplier quotes, comparing cost options, and working with basic procurement KPIs.
ERP/Tools Familiarity: Experience with Google Sheets/Excel and preferably ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, etc.).
Adaptable & Proactive: Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Internship or experience in procurement, purchasing, or vendor management.
Familiarity with tools like Coupa, SAP, NetSuite, or procurement modules.
Knowledge of Incoterms, basic contract law, or supply agreements.
Certifications like CIPS, CPSM, or APICS are a plus.
