Trainee Fragrance Developer

Fragrance Development Manager

Job Purpose

The Trainee Evaluator will support the Fragrance Development team in day‑to‑day evaluation activities, fragrance assessments, and project execution. This role provides hands‑on training in fragrance evaluation while ensuring smooth functioning of the Evaluation department and Library.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist Evaluators: Support junior and senior evaluators on fragrance projects, submissions, and routine evaluation activities.


• Smelling Sessions: Help organize and conduct smelling sessions for the Evaluation team and sensory team, ensuring proper sample preparation and documentation.


• Library Management Support: Assist the Librarian with maintaining stock levels, organizing fragrance library oils, and updating inventory records in Product Vision.


• Sample Preparation: Prepare fragrance samples, dilutions and blotters as required for ongoing projects with help of application lab


• Data & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of evaluation notes, sample movements, and formula references.


• Cross‑Functional Support: Coordinate with the Fragrance Development, evaluation, PPD and application and Compounding Laboratory teams to ensure smooth workflow.


• General Trainee Duties: Learn and adhere to evaluation standards, lab protocols, safety guidelines, and quality procedures.
