Job description:

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a part-time entry-level Accounts Payable professional to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. As an Accounts Payable specialist, you will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely payment of all debts. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities: - Process invoices and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner - Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies - Prepare and process payments to vendors - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions - Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders - Assist with month-end close processes and reporting - Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains

Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on accounting or finance preferred - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Strong time management and organizational skills - Previous experience in accounts payable is a plus, but not required
