Oracle Aconex Consultant
Role Purpose
You will lead the design, configuration, and rollout of Oracle Aconex as a Common Data Environment (CDE) for complex, regulated capital programmes. You’ll own the ISO 19650 information model, permissioning, workflow packs (RFIs, submittals, design reviews), Aconex Field and Model Coordination, OIC integrations (Maximo, ArcGIS, M365), TB-scale migrations, UAT/pilot/cutover, and the training/change backbone (Train-the-Trainer, QRGs, knowledge portal). You’ll also establish KPI dashboards and run quarterly governance.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1) Discovery & Standards Alignment
Run stakeholder interviews/workshops; persona mapping (PMs, document controllers, site inspectors).
Produce the EIR baseline, BEP inputs, and an information operating model aligned with ISO 19650 and NEC/FIDIC obligations.
2) Information Architecture & Security
Design metadata taxonomy, naming conventions, folder structures, and lifecycle states.
Define role/permission matrices across owner-operator, Tier-1s, consultants, and OEMs.
3) Aconex Configuration
Configure Aconex Core (Docs/Mail/Workflows), Aconex Field (inspections, punch lists, H&S), and Model Coordination (federated BIM).
Build workflow packs for RFIs, submittals, design reviews, H&S file, as-built/handover.
4) Integrations & Data
Architect and deliver Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations to IBM Maximo (asset), Esri ArcGIS (spatial), and M365 (SharePoint/Outlook).
Define canonical data models, payload mappings, error handling, and security patterns.
Plan and run TB-scale data migrations (content, mail history, metadata) with rehearsals/dry runs.
5) Testing, Cutover & Hypercare
Define UAT scope, scripts, and triage; run pilot go-lives; plan production cutover and hypercare.
Validate non-functionals: access performance, workflow SLAs, resilience, auditability.
6) Training & Change
Deliver role-based training (PM/Eng/DC/Contractor), Train-the-Trainer, QRGs/videos/SOPs.
Stand-up Change/Digital Champions and a searchable knowledge portal.
7) Governance & Reporting
Define KPIs; stand-up Power BI dashboards (RFI turnaround, submittals, inspections, adoption).
Run quarterly roadmap/governance and manage the enhancement backlog.
Required Skills & Experience
- End-to-end Aconex delivery in live capital programmes (min. 3 enterprise deployments).
- Hands-on config of Workflows, Mail, Model Coordination, Field, permissions.
- ISO 19650 practicals: EIR/BEP, naming/metadata, CDE states, audits.
- OIC integrations (adapters, mappings) with Maximo, ArcGIS, M365.
- Data migration tooling and approach (classification, dedupe, QA, reconciliation).
- Public-sector/regulated utilities experience; contract workflows (NEC/FIDIC).
- Excellent stakeholder management; proven training/change leadership.
