Part-Time Dance Teacher

Role Purpose

To provide engaging and structured dance training to students, develop their skills and confidence, and encourage creativity and participation in school performances and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct dance classes for students across different age groups.


• Teach basic and advanced dance techniques according to students’ abilities.


• Train students in various dance forms such as Indian Classical, Bollywood, Western, Contemporary, Folk, etc.


• Prepare students for annual functions, cultural events, competitions, assemblies, and other school programmes.


• Create and choreograph age-appropriate dance performances.


• Maintain discipline and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.


• Encourage students to participate actively and develop confidence through dance.


• Coordinate with teachers and the school management for performances and events.


• Track students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.


• Ensure appropriate use and maintenance of dance equipment and activity spaces.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Diploma/Certification in Dance or Performing Arts preferred.


• Formal training in one or more recognised dance forms.


• Prior experience teaching dance in schools or educational institutions preferred.


• Good communication and classroom-management skills.


• Creative, energetic, patient, and comfortable working with children.


• Ability to choreograph performances for school events.
