Deskripsi Pekerjaan - Purchasing Manager

Our client is a luxury lifestyle showroom and dealership that provides convenient access to the finest automotive brands.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sourcing
    1. Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to ensure the procurement of high-quality materials, components, and services.
    2. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and pricing.
    3. Continuously monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry innovations to optimize sourcing strategies.
  2. Supplier Management:
    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
    2. Conduct regular supplier assessments to assess quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    3. Resolve supplier-related issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and ensure supply chain continuity.
  3. Cost Management:
    1. Develop and manage budgets for procurement activities, optimizing costs while maintaining quality and performance standards.
    2. Implement cost-saving initiatives such as supplier negotiations, value engineering, and process improvements to drive efficiency and profitability.
    3. Monitor and analyze procurement KPIs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement.
  4. Product Development Support:
    1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and design, to support new product development initiatives.
    2. Work closely with suppliers to source innovative materials and technologies that meet design specifications and enhance product performance.
    3. Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of components and materials to support production schedules and product launches.
  5. Supply Chain Optimization:
    1. Optimize inventory levels and lead times to minimize stockouts and excess inventory, balancing the cost of carrying inventory with the risk of supply disruptions.
    2. Implement lean supply chain practices such as Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory management and vendor-managed inventory (VMI) to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
    3. Identify opportunities for supply chain optimization, including supplier consolidation, outsourcing, and logistics optimization.
  6. Compliance and Risk Management:
    1. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including environmental regulations, labor practices, and ethical sourcing principles.
    2. Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical instability, natural disasters, and supplier financial instability, to minimize disruptions and protect the company's interests.
    3. Implement robust supplier risk management processes, including contingency plans and supplier diversification strategies.
  7. Leadership and Team Development:
    1. Provide leadership and direction to the purchasing team, setting clear goals and expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    2. Mentor and develop team members, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.
    3. Promote collaboration and teamwork across departments to drive cross-functional alignment and achieve shared objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
  2. Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry with a focus on luxury vehicles.
  3. Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable terms.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  5. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and decision-making, leveraging insights to drive strategic procurement decisions.
  6. Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their goals and deliver results.
  7. Proficiency in procurement software and tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Familiarity with quality management standards (e.g., ISO 9001), environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business priorities and market conditions.
