Job Description - Basic Grade Medical Scientist Blood Transfusion




RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.



 



We are hiring a Basic Grade Medical Scientist – Blood Transfusion into our Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.



 







 Responsibilities  








  • Help with the creation, upkeep, and enforcement of protocols about every section of the lab and the associated testing apparatus.



  • Help adopt and execute operational procedures in accordance with "best practice" standards to maximise resource utilisation.



  • If you work in a laboratory discipline that has been accredited by INAB, you must comply with the E.U. Directive on Blood and Blood Products as well as the standards of INAB Accreditation.



  • Set priorities, plan your workload during peak hours, and oversee several concurrent tests.



  • If necessary, take part in the department's "on call" schedule. In accordance with hospital rules, collaborate with the appropriate staff on innovative concepts and technology.



  • Take part in the execution of quality management initiatives. Engage in quality assurance and control initiatives both internally and outside.












Requirements




  • Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent



  • Registration with CORU



  •  Minimum of 1 year in service training across all disciplines.



  •  Experience in Blood Transfusion is essential.



  •  Post qualification experience desirable.



  •  Have partaken in on-call rotas desirable.
