Case Management Worker – Own Door Cork
Location: Cork working Hybrid with access to own transport
€39,090.33 per annum pro-rated
Fixed Term 12 months
Part Time - 17.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Your New Role
This role is to provide case management support to families from different nationalities. The primary goal is to support households to sustain their tenancies, settle into their new homes and communities, with focus on integration, developing strong networks and capacity building. You will be working directly with service users, to achieve the best outcomes, using the Depaul Support Toolkit and be able to access other relevant wraparound services needed for client’s progression.

Work experience of working directly with people from different nationalities.
Good knowledge about the immigration system, legislation and nationality matters in Ireland.
An understanding of why people become homeless or may be at risk of homelessness and the issues they present with, particularly in relation to substance misuse.
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written and electronic (including statistical and qualitative reports).
Ability to be flexible and work in a variety of settings, with a variety of teams.
An ability to work collaboratively with other agencies (both statutory and voluntary), be able to demonstrate an excellent work ethic.
An ability to (and understanding of how to) advocate on behalf of the service users.
An understanding of the statutory and voluntary sector services available to immigrants and homeless people and/or people with alcohol misuse issues.
Ability to work according to the principles of Harm Reduction and Low threshold work.
Excellent organisational skills and communication skills.
An understanding of the health and safety issues, especially in regard to lone working.
An ability to show initiative and develop solutions to problems.
A knowledge of another language would be an advantage (desirable).

Our Benefits
Annual Leave Up to 3 years' service: 25 days per year
3 years' up to 5 years' service: 27 days per year
Over 5 years' service: 30 working days per year (Exclusive of bank and statutory holidays)
10 public holidays each year with Good Friday as discretionary day.
Day off and day pay for Christmas Day, St.Stephen's Day, and New Year's Day worked for shift workers.
Non-Shift Workers: Paid day off on public holidays.
Shift Workers: Expected to work on public holidays; receive an additional day of annual leave in lieu.
Non-Rostered Employees: May be entitled to one-fifth of the normal weekly rate of remuneration for the public holiday.
