The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a Cyber Security Technical Project Manager to lead and oversee critical cybersecurity initiatives within the organisation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and resilience of healthcare systems, safeguarding sensitive patient data, and implementing robust security solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects related to threat and vulnerability management, patch management, AI security, data security, and security solution implementations. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive strategic security enhancements, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. • Project manage the implementation of threat and vulnerability management solutions to proactively identify and mitigate risks.


• Manage the initiatives focussing on security measures for medical devices, ensuring compliance with healthcare cybersecurity standards.


• Manage patch deployment strategies to maintain system integrity and prevent security breaches.


• Develop AI-driven security frameworks to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.


• Ensure robust data security protocols to protect patient records and sensitive healthcare information.


• Coordinate cybersecurity technology implementations, integrating advanced security solutions across HSE systems.


• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, aligning cybersecurity initiatives with organisational priorities.


• Monitor emerging cyber threats and adjust security strategies accordingly.


• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure seamless integration of security solutions.


• Manage third-party vendors and security service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.


• Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.


• Develop incident response plans to swiftly address security breaches and minimise impact.


• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GDPR and healthcare cybersecurity standards.


• Implement security awareness training programmes for staff to strengthen organisational security posture.


• Optimise security operations by leveraging automation and AI-driven threat intelligence.


• Lead penetration testing initiatives to assess system vulnerabilities and improve defences.


• Coordinate security audits and assessments, ensuring continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices.


• Manage cybersecurity budgets, ensuring cost-effective implementation of security solutions.


• Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures, aligning with industry best practices.


• Report project progress to senior management, providing insights into security enhancements and risk mitigation efforts.
