Job Description - Compensation and Benefits Accountant

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Compensation and Benefits Accountant to join the HR Team of Europe's Largest Airline Group.

This is a brand new role reporting to the HR Director. With over 25,000 people working in Ryanair, your role will be varied, and you will work on all areas of the business including the Head Office, Flight Crew, Cabin Crew, Operations, Engineering and IT. We are in a period of massive growth with a further 300 new aircraft on order and plans to increase to over 300m passengers per year within the next 10 years.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation for new Pay Transparency Directive
  • Pay policies, Job evaluation, Job and pay analysis
  • Market benchmarking, reviewing industry compensation and trends
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of existing compensation policies and procedures.
  • Identify trends early and prepare proposals to ensure Ryanair rates remain competitive
  • Assist with Apr review process/ Comp Module extension
  • Research and comment on market rate for new / replacement headcounts
  • Manage pay review for new roles and new locations
  • Work with Inflight Finance Team to round out requirements for Qualification
  • Preparation of monthly Pay-Files
  • Ad-hoc duties and project work.

Requirements

  • A fully qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years relevant accounting experience is desirable.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, and matrixed organizations
  • Expert numerical and analytical skills with the ability to develop analytics from multiple streams of data, interpret, and communicate the data in a logical, concise way.
  • Strong Microsoft application skills – Excel, PowerPoint, and Word – experience or expertise with macros and VB is preferred
  • Analytical acumen – ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of data
  • Discounted and unlimited travel to over 230 destinations

  • Death in Service Benefit – Up to 2 times of annual basic salary
  • 20 Days Annual Leave – Increasing to 22 days after 12 months and 25 days after 3 years of continuous service.
  • Option for up to 5 additional unpaid leave days per year
