Group Financial Accountant

Barden are delighted to be working exclusively with a Cork-based entertainment group to identify a Group Financial Accountant to join the growing finance team. As the business goes from strength to strength the leadership team are looking for someone with an energetic attitude, technically strong and commercially astute to continue the growth journey with them.

It’s an interesting role for someone who wants to be close to the decision-making in a business and will touch on all aspects of Finance. The role will report to an impressive Finance Director with a strong commercial background.

ABOUT THE ROLE :

Responsibilities will include:

• Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and year end reporting, investigation of variances and overall results to assist business performance and growth
• Preparation of the budgeting and forecasting process
• Act as a key Finance Business Partner to the business leaders, supporting the operational management of the business
• Evaluation of processes and recommendations for process improvements
• Assist with the preparation of board reports for the group
• Ad-hoc projects as required by the wider business

ABOUT THE PERSON:

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Accountant with 2/3+ years’ PQE
• Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills
• Proven ability to influence at all levels in the organization
• Excellent commercial acumen
• Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong team player;
• Desire to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
