Senior Client Accountant

This role represents an excellent opportunity to engage with exciting work in the aviation and debt capital markets space whilst also defining your own path. The successful candidate will report directly into the Associate Director, helping maintain the day-to-day management of a portfolio of special purpose vehicles.

In this role you will be the central point of contact for the client and will engage with a number of stakeholders including the auditors, tax advisors, board of directors, local council which will result in developing strong relationships with clients and other internal teams and service lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting with the client onboarding process including but not limited to arranging registration for regulatory identifiers such as tax registration, GIIN registration, S110 notifications and the opening of bank accounts
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual management accounts and financial statements under IFRS/ Irish GAAP (FRS 102)
  • Assisting with the completion of monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of SPVs
  • Responsible for the preparation of periodic reporting to the regulator (FVC/SPV reporting)
  • Ensuring all tax filings, regulatory and ad-hoc reporting is completed in accordance with regulatory and deal requirements
  • Developing and-maintaining strong relationships with clients and other internal teams / service lines
  • Coordination of and attendance at client board meetings
  • Proactive identification of process improvement and service line development opportunities
  • The successful candidate will also pro-actively take on and support additional responsibilities and tasks as required by the manager and clients

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor Degree from Business or Accountancy & Finance and/or working towards ACCA/ACA qualification
  • Responsive and client focused with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines
  • Experience working with CMS/SUN would be an advantage
  • Relevant experience in a similar role would be an advantage
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Have strong computer skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications
