WHAT TO EXPECT

This is a great new opportunity for an Embedded AUTOSAR Engineer to become part of JLR’s leading Software Development team in their Software Centre of Excellence based in Shannon, Ireland. You will be a highly motivated automotive engineer with experience in working with the AUTOSAR stack have a positive input on the design, development, and delivery of our next generation software platform in an AUTOSAR framework.

You will have the opportunity to support, develop and deliver the software platform for our next generation vehicle architecture. Software development will include the definition, configuration, and integration of AUTOSAR Basic Software components for AUTOSAR classic frameworks. Working within a team of experienced AUTOSAR engineers and collaborating with System, Architecture, Hardware, Software and Controls Engineers, you’ll aim to deliver concept and production systems in a timely manner, according to vehicle programme timing and local delivery milestones.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Supporting the development process of AUTOSAR-compliant ECUs, from specification to series production.
• Requirements gathering and analysis, development and execution of validation process.
• Capture, coordinate and successfully implement the requirements of the AUTOSAR standard.
• Adaptation, configuration and implementation of AUTOSAR basic software modules including the development of concepts and documenting software interfaces in AUTOSAR-compliant ECUs.
• Integration and configuration of AUTOSAR Basic Software components (e.g., ECU State Management, Watchdog, Flash EEPROM, RTOS systems).

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Knowledge of the AUTOSAR stack and familiarity with AUTOSAR configuration tools (DaVinci Developer / Configurator, EB Tresos, or similar) as well as an understanding of automotive networking, diagnostics and fault handling techniques, including diagnostic implementation in AUTOSAR compliant framework (DEM/DCM config).
• Experience with embedded software development & device driver development, CDD development using C/C++.
• Experience in MCAL configuration & knowledge of RTE & Real Time Operating Systems (ROTS).
• Experience with one of more protocols like CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, LIN, FlexRay.
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and system dev tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, XCP, Trace32 Lauterbach etc.).
