Link Personnel’s client, a Top Law Firm in Dublin 2, have a newly created Accountant Vacancy. The purpose of the role is to provide direct support to the Finance Manager and to perform supervisory duties over the three accounts assistants currently in the Finance Team. They are looking for a motivated individual who will hit the ground running and require minimal on the job training. The senior accountant will also be a key point of contact in the Finance Team for the wider firm.
Salary: to €60k

The Role:
- Assistance with preparation and review of monthly payroll.
- Supervision of the work of the finance team.
- Assistance with completion of month-end tasks.
- Assistance with management accounts, departmental accounts, and annual budget.
- Assistance with the implementation of a new credit control function.
- Assistance with Insurance Renewals.
- Assistance with annual Income Tax Returns.
- Assist with banking, treasury, and loan account administration.
- Preparation and circulation of weekly fee earner time recording reports.
- Preparation of monthly and ad-hoc e-Billing files for submission to clients.
- Preparation and submission of VAT/Payroll and other statutory Returns.
- Assistance with annual audit, preparation of audit files and dealing with auditors.
- Completion of Quarterly and ad-hoc Management Information and submission to clients.
- Completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual surveys for submission to the CSO.
- Ad-hoc tasks at request of Finance Manager and Partners.
- Assist in the identification of opportunities for process improvements.
- Support non-finance staff in relation to finance matters.
- Demonstrate good understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Regulations
The Candidate:
- Previous experience within a finance function and with Management Accounts.
- Holder of a recognised accountancy qualification.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Experience working in legal accounts would be useful but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
