Area Manager - Intellectual Disability Sector

We are hiring an Area Manager Intellectual Disability Sector Dublin Ireland.

We will provide exceptional patient care in an environment where quality respect caring and compassion are at the center of all we do.

Responsibilities

• Provide highquality residential care to the individuals

• To work in partnership with home managers to ensure efficiency of services within the region.

• Strategic daytoday overview of quality.

• Liaising with key people and building relationships with Regulators and Commissioners.

• Recruitment induction training and development of Registered Managers and other senior grades of staff i.e nurses.

• To Implement and monitor nursing care procedures in accordance with company policy and recognized professional standards.

• To ensure the provision of health care arrangements that may include the ordering recording and where appropriate the administration of prescribed medication. To investigate complaints and take appropriate action in accordance with company policy

• To maintain a professional relationship with all employees within the home.

• To ensure that there is good communication with and between staff and to arrange and participate in staff meetings.

• To ensure that effective induction supervision and assessment of staff is carried out and that the training needs are identified and met.
  

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Social Work or a closely related field

• Five years or more of experience in a leadership capacity in the disability services industry or a similar profession.

• Comprehensive understanding of disability services including legal and ethical obligations.
  

• Capable of making rational and transparent decisions
• Demonstrated capacity to oversee several sites numerous projects and guide a varied team
• Superb organizational problemsolving and communication abilities
• A Well organized and proficient in IT
• A spotless driving record and access to ones own car
