The Galway Bay Hotel is seeking to recruit a Duty Manager to work as part of the Management Team. The ideal candidate will assist with the smooth and efficient running of the Hotel, and promote a positive image to both guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• To carry out all management duties as per the agreed standards, this includes take control and responsibility for Management shifts and overseeing the smooth running of all departments.
• To assist with the management of functions/conferences in the hotel, liaise with guests and management to ensure that all guest complaints are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst ensuring the highest level of customer care is practised at all times.
• To ensure all back of house areas are clean at all times i.e. back hallways, staff canteen, changing rooms, and staff lifts and services areas.
• To attend the weekly head’s of department meetings.
• To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health and Safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the Hotel premises.
• To carry out fire and accident details, ensure that no materials or equipment are left in a hazardous state. To report and where possible, take action on incidents of accidents, fire, loss or damage.
• Any other duties as directed by Management

A little bit about you:

• You have 1-2 years experience in a similar role (preferred)
• You have a strong ability to work under pressure, working efficiently while maintaining a warm and engaging persona
• You are an energetic, customer focused individual who enjoys working as part of a dynamic, fun team
• You have excellent communication skills and an inviting manner
