Job Description - CI DevOps Engineer

The role is for a Dev Ops Engineer working within a team focused on assessing, understanding and influencing the performance of next generations of NPU.

In this role the successful candidate will be part of a small team doing the following:

Maintenance and assessment of current systems and processes, and developing ways to improve them.

Adding new features, efficiencies and workflows to improve developer productivity and reduce maintenance overhead.

Planning the future and a migratory path towards it without compromising current functionality or quality.

Monitoring for issue identification, remediation and prevention, minimizing downtime.

Triaging issues, working out both quick fixes and longer term solutions.

Increasing robustness, flexibility and ease of use.

Qualifications:

Must have either a BSc, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or similar field. Experience:

Strong candidates from graduate level upwards also considered.


Key technical skills:
Basic competency required in:

  • Linux administration including BASH scripting and text processing using regular expressions.
  • High level programming language such as Python, C/C++, C#, Java.
  • A task automation tool such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
  • Virtualization/container technology such as Singularity (Apptainer), Docker, Podman, VMWare, Virtualbox, schroot.

Good approach to problem solving.

Ability to work with others.

A strong interest in making things better and people more productive.

Ability to communicate well.

Willingness to learn.
