Crossmaglen Credit Union Ltd is a member-owned financial services provider.  Established in 1973, it now serves over 6,000 members and manages assets of £26m.  Crossmaglen Credit Union is located at the heart of our community, is supported by a team of 20 staff and volunteers and our aim is to always put our members first.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional manager accountable to the Board and assuming overall responsibility for the successful operation of Crossmaglen Credit Union Ltd

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Planning the day to day operation of the Credit Union, and its employees’ direction, training and development, including office administration and IT systems
• Preparation of financial and management reports for the Board, Auditors, regulatory bodies and others as required, while maintaining complete confidentiality
• All financial and regulatory compliance
• Leadership and motivation of staff
• Implementation of Business Plan and Board policies
• Promotion of the activities and products / services of the Credit Union to existing and new members

Essential Requirements:

• A qualification to degree level in finance, business studies, accountancy or equivalent
• Minimum 5 year’s experience within financial services sector
• Strong leadership and people management experience
• Relevant IT experience ie working knowledge of at least one of Sage or Payroll, together with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and/or Powerpoint

Desirable Requirements (for shortlisting purposes only, if required):

• A clear knowledge and understanding of the ethos and operating principles of Credit Unions
• 3 years direct staff management experience
