Job Description - Digital Media Signage Administrator

The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) is Ireland’s first purpose-built, international conference venue, located on Dublin’s North Wall Quay. To ensure we can provide exceptional service to all those who visit The CCD, we are currently seeking a Digital Media Signage Administrator to join our team at The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) on a full-time permanent basis.

Following a selection process, the successful candidate will be rostered to work. The CCD is a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation so working hours will be variable, including early and late shifts and weekend work.

Key Objective

To manage the development and scheduling of client and default (The CCD) content and assist with commercial development of the digital signage network. To support delivery of the digital event strategy and overall operation of the Digital Signage System.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Digital Signage:

  • Managing client digital signage requirements in conjunction with the Events team, including end to end delivery of content on digital signage (including uploading, scheduling and testing of content) in a timely manner, using the dedicated Content Management System. This will include outside of usual business hours (e.g., weekends, evenings, etc.) for events that may require live support.
  • Serving as the primary liaison for digital media within The CCD and overseeing client relations.
  • Planning, designing, scheduling and managing ‘default’ CCD content on digital signage.
  • Developing and updating client documentation.
  • Training colleagues on the Content Management System to provide digital signage support for events.
  • Managing and reporting hardware and software issues with digital signage and liaising with internal and external suppliers to achieve resolution.
  • Adhering with The CCD’s brand guidelines on all CCD-specific content.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complying with the Policies and Standard Operating Procedures of The CCD.
  • Undertaking any other duties / projects as reasonably requested by line manager.

Duties and responsibilities will vary from time to time and the post holder will be expected to perform other such duties that reasonably comparable; adhere to Company health, safety and environmental policies; maintain a safe working environment and ensure your work activities are safe.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good understanding of media formats.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Committed to customer care.
  • An ability to self-motivate and be pro-active.
  • Strong time-management and organisational skills.
  • Strong team-working skills.
  • Experience with digital media and Content Management Systems would be an advantage.
