MMD Construction are seeking to recruit an experiences Engineering Manager on a full time, permanent basis. The Role of the Engineering Manager will be to guide, support and advise Graduates, members of the Engineering Team and other relevant personnel on Engineering matters. This role will report into the Head of the Engineering Department.

Duties:

o Implementation / Auditing of Construction Methodology on Sites.

o Design Development of Value Engineering

o Competent in carrying out quality control audits on site. Can review and create Inspection & Test Plans. Can readily display advanced knowledge of key packages such as concrete, drainage, steelwork and brickwork

o Carrying out surveys and setting site control

o Ability to advise engineers on setting out methods and techniques.

o Maintain good working relations with client / designer / Team, together with our supply chain.

o Ensure that all engineering work on site is carried out safely and effectively

Management

o The role will be to develop, support and manage a structured MMD Engineering Graduate Programme.

o As the dedicated mentor you will manage and develop a bespoke training plan to support all graduates on the programme.

o Assist in the tracking, monitoring and reporting of performance in relation to programme.

o Provide information, advice and support to site management teams and all employees on all aspects of Engineering.

o Work with Management in the development, delivery, implementation and maintenance of specific policies and procedures within the Engineering Department.

o Provide assurance to the project management team that risks are being managed effectively by Junior/Graduate Engineers.

o Support the Head of the Engineering Department with any other duties when required.

Qualifications/Experience

• B. Eng Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong AutoCAD Skills required
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling
• Experienced in Quality Management procedures
• Leadership experience is essential
• 5 years’ experience in a Senior Engineering role essential
