At Teamworx, were excited to announce an opening for an Evening Supermarket Supervisor with a renowned award-winning retail supermarket group boasting six large stores. This is a large traditional supermarket brand connected to one of the major retail names in Ireland. It offers a wide range of fresh foods from in-store bakeries, F&V, and butchers, including a full grocery shop floor and off-licence. In this role, youll have the chance to enhance your retail skills through hands-on training and mentorship from a flagship grocery store manager. This particular store has one of the highest turnover locations for the brand in Leinster and employs over 120 staff, including a sizable management team. Its an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a top-performing supermarket and collaborate with some of the nations finest managers.

Responsibilities for this Evening Supermarket Supervisor Job :

• You will work closely with the senior grocery shop manager, to learn the process of placing orders using their back office and ordering systems. 
• Understanding and implementing food safety and sanitation guidelines is essential. 
• You will learn about proper handling, storage, and temperature control of fresh food and grocery retail items to ensure they are safe for consumption.
• Will be given exposure to people management, leading and evaluating peoples work mainly within the grocery and retail departments, providing training and direction to complete tasks.
• Collaboration and effective communication are essential to coordinate tasks, address challenges, and maintain a smooth operation.
• You will provide support in various operational aspects, such as scheduling, staffing, and managing work shifts.
  

Requirements for this Evening Supermarket Supervisor Job :

• Have strong attention to detail.
• People management skills.
• Grocery or fresh food knowledge with some ordering experience ideally within Retail, Supermarkets, Catering or Cafe environments would be essential for this job.
• Organisational skills.
• Be able to work within a team and on your own initiative.
• Flexible to work various different shifts, predominately evenings.
