Food-Hall General Manager
Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced General Manager to join our award-winning Food-Hall client in North Dublin
Salary: €50-€55k DOE

This General Manager may have come from Grocery Retail , Hospitality or Multi-Unit Food background. Our clients seek this manager to deliver top-level customer service, provide and promote best-in-class products and lead this business to the next level.
As General Manager you will be fully responsible for the operational management of the store and the several departments in place within the store. This role is a highly focused operational and commercial role, working alongside the owners.
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for the Store teams in all Operational, Commercial and Business duties. Oversee the management and control of all departments within the store regarding targets, labour and margin control
- Manage Store workflow and activities, proper storage, inventory accuracy, reports and action to reduce loss
- Manage the varying department's requirements in terms of stock control, talent management, customer service delivery and department target achievement
- Develop weekly reports outlining store performance, missed opportunities and plans to drive revenue /reduce costs across all departments
- Stock control of all goods and production to minimise waste and maximise profit across store
- Monthly meetings with each department to discuss the performance of the store and generate new revenue-producing ideas
- Recruit, train and maintain talent within the store across each department.
- Responsible for introducing and actioning the owners vision for the store and delivering quality service to customers in both retail and hospitality settings
- Ensure the implementation and monitoring of all Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Operational procedures to ensure first-class standards across the store
Requirements :
- Senior retail grocery and/ or hospitality experience - minimum 5 years
- Expert understanding of related aspects of retail processes and/or systems e.g. planning, procurement, inventory, stock management, cash administration, labour management, HR requirements, commercial and customer relations
- Able to manage resources and delegate appropriately to your team, including Department Management, Head Chefs and Team leaders
- Expert understanding of ever-changing retail grocery, fresh food and hospitality landscapes
- Experience with having P&L responsibility, budget management, and the ability to create and maintain various management reports.
- Strong initiative and demonstrated ability to interface effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation and work cross-culturally
- Strong conflict management and decision-making skills
