As Head of Data and Reporting you will drive the evolution of how data is used as a strategic asset in the organization. This will involve delivering reports and dashboards to the Trading Teams, leading the discussion on prioritization of future reports and working with IT to determine new data feeds into the Datawarehouse. A core element of the role will also involve determining what data and how data can be used to drive optimal portfolio management and underpin portfolio discussions with Insurers for placement related activity.

You will be someone who excels at Stakeholder engagement and has the ability to communicate with all levels of a Business while having a passion and drive for the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Role Responsibilities: Data Management and Reporting

• Evolve and Implement the Arachas data strategy
• Key point of contact with senior leaders in the business to progress the organisations ability to use data to drive growth, profitability and operational excellence
• Build capability to use data for portfolio management and Insurer discussions
• Management of the Arachas Data Team on an ongoing basis.
• Operational responsibility for the deployment of Management Information reports including leading interactions with Business Units, Enabling Functions, external agencies and vendors
• Drive data quality as an Arachas ethos
• Working collaboratively with the various parts of the Arachas Data Function to manage the data-related demand from the business and resources available to meet that demand.
• Leading data gap and quality analysis and in collaboration with IT working to ensure ongoing maintenance of the data warehouse and the full implementation of desired business units data requirements
• Continuously improve the data management processes in use by the business.
• Member of the Arachas Operations Committee
• Member of the Ardonagh Data Stewardship Forum

Requirements:

• Knowledge of core data used in the Insurance industry
• Knowledge of Power BI
• Knowledge of data analytical methodologies and technology
• Experience in understanding data warehouse architecture
• Project Management experience
• Knowledge of Arachas policy admin systems and data flows is an advantage
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment
• Strong communication skills are essential
• Possess a positive, can do attitude with the ability to adapt to and embrace change
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to unforeseen events
• A good degree of personal organisation and a structured approach to time and resource management
• Proficient in Office, including Outlook, Word, Powerpoint & Excel
• Strong technical documentation skills
