A new opportunity for a HR professional to join the team based onsite with our client, a large international business in central Dublin. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to use your HR and ER expertise to work with our managers to provide best practice advise and support across a range of employee and industrial relations issues.

Adopting an encouraging and coaching style you’ll ensure our people processes are maintained to the highest standard. This is a hands-on role and as the main HR contact on site you’ll be key to engaging with our employees, client, and trade unions to build successful working relationships. You will be part of the wider Sodexo HR Team in Ireland who can provide advice on more complex issues and support you to thrive within the role.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage employee relations issues to their successful conclusion ensuring communication with all the relevant parties.
  • Build effective working relationships with the relevant trade union officials that represent our employees
  • Coach and mentor, our operations team to develop their employee relations skills
  • Ensure all HR related policies, staff training and procedures are delivered
  • Shaping talent to ensure right people in the right roles, with a focus on succession planning.
  • Support with the roll out of the relevant Learning & Development programmes, working in close partnership with our L&D Coordinator
  • Support recruitment & resourcing across the sites to include interviewing
  • Promote and drive recognition initiatives
  • Lead and manage organisational change: advise and support on agreed change management techniques including Organisation design, leadership development and coaching/mentoring techniques to successfully guide effective organisational and cultural change
  • Drive HR value for our client and contribute towards business strategy
  • Overseeing onboarding and induction of new staff and work with Management teams to ensure employee training requirements are up to date

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be CIPD qualified with broad HR generalist experience and an understanding of all aspect of HR management including reward, resourcing, talent management/succession planning, change management and employee relations.

  • Experience of working with trade unions and have extensive knowledge of employment law in Ireland
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Well organised with good IT skills and ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Able to have challenging conversation and coach and develop others in this field
  • Technical experience in employee relations
  • Experience of training others
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to complete administrative tasks associated with all our people processes.

Package Description

Salary of 45,000 to 50,000 euros, depending on experience, plus access to a range of fantastic benefits. This role offers a real opportunity long term for training and potential professional development.
