About the Position

Our client a growing engineering company based in Naas are recruiting for a HR Generalist. This is a brand-new position and will be a stand-alone HR role reporting directly in to the managing director with support from the operations manager. This role will provide unrivaled opportunity and will suit someone efficient who works well on their own initiative. This role will be based fully onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Answering HR queries from colleagues
• Liaising with management and colleagues on various types of leave, including but not limited to , maternity, paternity, long term sick leave etc…
• Maintaining all employee records as per employment law, including training & professional qualifications
• Maintaining all records for electrical apprentices at various stage of the apprenticeship
• Liaise with Health & Safety team to ensure all colleagues have the relevant accredited training for their role
• Recruitment for a wide range of roles, end to end from CV research to hire
• HR inductions & new colleague set up
• Drafting & issuing offer letters and employment contracts
• Ensuring all HR related policies are always up to date
• Ensuring the employee handbook are up to date at all times
• Applying for and maintaining work permits for relevant colleagues
• Generate ah-hoc employee reports for both client audits & accredited bodies audits

Experience/Requirements

• Education – Degree in Human Resources (must include Employment law)
• 2 – 3 years’ HR Administration or HR Generalist experience in a busy HR environment (Irish employment law - essential)
• Microsoft Office experience
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• You will be a team player and be capable of working on your own initiative
• Payroll knowledge is a strong advantage (not essential however)

Remuneration Package

€40,000 - €55,000 plus benefits
