Job Description - HR Manager

This luxury five star in Co Dublin boasts a large team of employees committed to providing a delightful experience for all their guests. They now require an HR Manager who will help to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction as well as the continued delivery of an excellent standard of guest service through effective onboarding, training & development and performance management of the total hotel team.

This role reports to the General Manager and is part of the Executive Committee.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee all recruitment and selection including internal hiring and succession planning.
  • Provide support and advice in line with best practice to all levels of staff on organisational policies and procedures including employee handbook.
  • Drive training & development and give guidance on internal development programmes.
  • Oversee the effective onboarding of new staff, including induction, administration, performance management and probation.
  • Assist all Heads of Department in controlling payroll costs through recruitment, selection, retention, rostering and managing holiday accruals costs.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of employee engagement within the hotel.
  • Proactively manage any ER issues that may arise.
  • Maintain employee compliance standards for the hotel, including proper HR records and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience in HR management in a quality four star hotel. Must demonstrate strong understanding of employment law and related legislation and have the ability to influence at all levels of the business.

  • Willingness to learn and develop themselves
  • Strong admin and systems skills (TMS, Adobe, MS Office etc)
