Logistics and Planning Administrator
Location: Santry, Dublin 9
Salary: €40,000 per annum

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics and Planning Administrator is responsible for overseeing the administrative aspects and coordination of all sales order activities from order receipt through to delivery. This role involves meticulous attention to detail and efficient management of the order processing system to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Administration:
· Receive and accurately process all orders into the system, adhering to pricing structures and credit control procedures.
· Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to meet customer expectations and delivery schedules.
· Handle returned delivery dockets and stock adjustments for invoicing purposes.
· Verify and validate customer addresses to facilitate timely and precise deliveries.
· Maintain a comprehensive database of delivery locations and seek opportunities to optimise delivery costs and operational efficiency.
· Address customer queries and complaints related to delivery and routing.
· Process proof of delivery (POD) documentation.
Route Planning:
· Strategically plan delivery routes to minimise distance, time, and fuel consumption while maximising delivery capacity.
· Consider factors such as traffic patterns, road conditions, and delivery time windows.
· Proactively identify potential issues in route planning and take preventive measures to mitigate disruptions.
· Optimise load distribution across vehicles to maximise space utilisation and minimise the number of trips.
· Assign appropriate vehicles based on load requirements, capacities, and route characteristics.
· Coordinate delivery schedules to prevent conflicts and delays.
· Monitor delivery progress in real-time using GPS tracking systems and address unforeseen issues promptly.
Qualifications and Experience:
· At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics or supply chain industry.
· Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
· Familiarity with route planning software, telemetric systems, GPS tracking, and other logistics-related technologies.
