Programme Delivery Manager - Operations Development & Compliance (E2024106)

The Opportunity We now seeking a Programme Delivery Manager to join our Operations Development and Compliance function. As Programme Delivery Manager you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team within the Operations Development and Compliance function to ensure best practice Programme Delivery for the Operations Office to embed a significant portfolio of change projects. You will drive operational excellence, managing the Programme Delivery Office to ensure active engagement of the team to support all impacted functions and forward thinking to anticipate and mitigate risks. You will partner with key counterparts across Offices in addition to collaborating closely with senior staff in the Operations Office to support delivery of change programmes aligned with our business strategy. You will also establish and ensure appropriate governance functions for the programme in accordance with EirGrid policies and practices You will have the ability to collaborate closely with Heads of Functions and their functions within the TOperations Office and senior counterparts across the organisation to shape, prioritise and ensure integrated readiness for delivering strategic change in the Operations Office will be key to success in the role. The Team
The Operations Office is central to the delivery of our primary role – the operation, development and enhancement of the power system and the wholesale electricity market. The Office is also responsible for the sustainable implementation of transmission system and market development to meet the future needs of all users of electricity. The Operations, Development and Compliance function is responsible for planning, programme delivery and change readiness for operations. Creating a culture of transformation whilst maintaining operational resilience, through planning, operational readiness and delivery is central to this role. About you
Successful candidates will have the following:

  • A relevant degree, typically with 8+ years post qualification experience
  • Proven experience of structuring , executing and delivery of a programme of change projects – overseeing the delivery of complex solutions and an ability to drive successful outcomes .
  • Experience applying project management methodologies and disciplines for a programme or multiple projects
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the programme objectives, inspire and motivate staff, and maintain alignment with the business strategy
  • A high degree of awareness , astuteness and the ability to influence to achieve programme success and overcome obstacles
  • Expertise in conceiving and introducing innovative ideas, solutions, or new ways of doing things to solve business problems, collaborating with business experts along the way.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and “sell” the programme goals and objectives to the business, as well as technical leadership
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills
  • Ability to develop programmes and deliver them with financial and resource constraints.
  • Ability to coach and develop high performance capabilities in a changing and dynamic environment.
