Project Engineer in Cork at Large Diameter Drilling Group

LDD, part of Acteon Group, is a marine and subsea foundation specialist. Using our extensive in-field experience, we design, engineer, build and operate world class pile-installation, lifting equipment and drilling equipment to deliver tubular foundations of any size, in any geology, anywhere. Due to recent contract wins in the Renewables sector the Grouting Services part of LDD who specialise in the delivery of cement-based products to offshore installation and provide equipment and personnel to carry out these operations on offshore installations are currently looking to hire an driven & enthusiastic Project Engineer The successful candidate will join on a full time, permanent basis in Cork, Ireland. You will work in a small team to deliver equipment and personnel to offshore construction projects. You will at times be required to travel to offshore installation vessels and manage the reports generated from the works. These include daily reports and technical reports. Our ideal candidate will have experience being an integral part of a dynamic projects team with priority given to those with a keen experience in the industries we support & the type of work we undertake. Duties

  • Preparation of method statements using standard Microsoft packages
  • Liaising with clients throughout the project duration to ensure project and contract requirements are implemented during the offshore phase of the project
  • Complete offshore trips on designated projects to support and log data


Required

  • Qualification in Engineering (preferably civil, mechanical, chemical or structural engineering)
  • Ideally at least 2 years working experience in an relevant engineering role
  • Visa / passport to allow working within the EU. Previous experience in engineering and familiarity with risk assessments and operational procedures
  • Willing to travel to offshore locations from time to time to be part of a team delivering the service
  • Physically fit to enable travel to offshore vessels and pass various training coursed provided
