Project Manager | Athlone, Westmeath

An established Building & Civils Contractor based in Athlone, Westmeath is looking to take on a Project Manager for multiple residential, commercial and civils projects.
Duties:
- Completion of pre-construction condition surveys on projects prior to works commencing
- Site setting-out and supervision
- Programming and scheduling of works to maximise the efficiency of allocated resources
- Ensuring that key programme dates are achieved
- Engaging with design teams to overcome any problems or issues that arise during
construction and engaging with our own design teams on design and build projects - Liaising with Utility providers, Councils, their Employer Representatives and Project
Managers and ensuring work is carried out in accordance with their approved standards - Rostering staff on sites as necessary
- Engaging with company QS to seek out the most cost effective processes and seek
alternatives - Monitoring site inductions, communicating method statements and safe systems of work
(SSWP) to all employees, sub-contractors, supplier and visitors to site - Ensuring that all company and legislative HSA are complied for all site workers
- Ordering and scheduling delivers of materials
- Designing and ensuring that traffic management plans are implemented and carried out in
accordance with Chapter 8 - Monitoring, controlling and reporting of all sub-contractor work performance and quality
- Compiling and collating information for the safety file for all specified projects
- Compiling reports as required in accordance with the contracts
- Project delivery in accordance with quality assurance procedures
- Delivering projects within budget, time frame and compliant with agreed scope and quality
- Liaising with internal departments, i.e. Financial Controller, Operations Manager, etc.
Requirements:
- Experience with BCAR system
- Administration and Computer Skills – MS Office, Excel, Windows, Engineering Applications,
Outlook - Strong awareness of Health & Safety, environment and traffic management
- Strong awareness of civil engineering / site plant and equipment
- Advanced problem solving/decision making skills
- Excellent site experience required
- Liaising with contractors
- Attendance at meetings
- Quality control
- Third Level Degree in Construction (Civil Engineering Degree an advantage)
