Project Manager -Purchasing Team - German speaking

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our client as a Purchasing Project Manager. As a leader in the retail industry, the organization is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and quality products. The Purchasing Project Manager will play a vital role in their operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement processes. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational goals

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify procurement needs and requirements

Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to ensure optimal sourcing and negotiate contracts with suppliers

Manage the procurement process, including requests for proposals, bid evaluations, and contract administration

Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations

Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and identify cost-saving opportunities

Continuously improve procurement processes and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field

Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the retail industry

Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends

Proficient in using procurement software and systems

Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Solid understanding of risk management and compliance

Proven track record of successfully managing procurement projects from start to finish

Fluent in English and in German
