ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a mid-level Python Engineer with a DevOps mindset, to guide applications from conception to deployment, prioritising maintainability, quality, security, and performance.

• This role involves being proficient in agile methodologies and understanding software development life cycle concepts
• You will collaborate with the development team to translate high-level requirements into manageable, testable components
• You will develop robust automated tests to ensure application reliability Manage multiple projects concurrently
• You need to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• You must meet tight deadlines and provide essential support for critical applications in production environments

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• Circa 5+ years of relevant software development experience
• Prior experience in Python is essential
• Proficiency in automated testing methodologies
• Experience with developing and testing REST APIs
• Competence in working with both relational and non-relational databases
• Knowledge of fundamental principles in software development security

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Azure Cloud
• CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions
• Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs
• Azure AI services, Generative AI, and Large Language Models
• Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Linux administration skills
• Scripting (e.g., Bash)
