The Mater Hospital is hiring Staff Nurses for the following specialty areas:

ICU/HDU

GI Unit

Surgical nurses interested in working heart lung transplant ward or cardiac thoracic surgical wards

Emergency Department

Acute Medical

General Medical

Cardiology

Theatre

Renal

Surgery

Radiology

Respiratory

National Isolation Unit / Infectious Diseases

The successful candidate will help to ensure that a caring, creative environment is achieved within the allocated ward / directorate, paying attention to the highest possible quality of nursing care. The staff nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practiced in the hospital.

Our Nurses work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team along with Health Care Assistants, Doctors, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Porters, Occupational Therapists, Radiographers, Catering Staff and Administration staff. We are the National Centre for:

• Heart and Lung Transplantation
• Extra Corporeal Life Support (ECLS)
• Spinal Injuries
• Pulmonary Hypertension
• National Isolation Unit
• Regional Ophthalmology Centre
• Bone Anchored Heard Aid Placement
• Metabolic and Rare Diseases
• Genetic screening
• Announced as a National Major Trauma Centre
