(CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at Crumlin, Temple Street and Tallaght as well as an Urgent Care Centre at Connolly hospital in Blanchardstown.
Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of this post is to provide epidemiological and data analysis expertise to maximise the quality and value of data generated by the IMSRL and the Microbiology laboratory and, in conjunction with other CHI DPLM Surveillance Scientists.
· Candidates must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the post, possess:
· 4 Years Post Graduation experience working as a Medical Scientist
· Have experience working in the areas of either microbiology/infectious diseases, biological/biomedical science, public health, epidemiology, or a relevant field
· Bachelor in Science (Applied Science) Honours degree (Biomedical option) from the Technological University of Dublin, Grangegorman (A)
or
· Bachelor in Science Honours degree in Biomedical Science from the Joint University College Cork – Cork Institute of Technology course (B)
or
· Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin Street or the Cork Institute of Technology awarded prior to 1994 (C)
or
· Possess Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences of the Dublin Institute of Technology, Kevin Street or Cork Institute of Technology or the Galway/ Mayo Institute of Technology (awarded prior to 1997) (C)
or
· A recognised qualification at least equivalent to (A) (B) or (C) above;
and
· A postgraduate degree in the field of Medical Laboratory Science
or
· Have attained the fellowship examination of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences
and
· Be registered with CORU by 31st March 2021
and
Applicants who qualified outside Ireland must provide evidence from CORU Medical Scientist Registration Board that their qualifications have been approved for Medical Scientist and meet criteria for recognition including CORU Application Reference number.
