Job Description - Building Surveyor - Blanchardstown

Job Title: Building Surveyor

Location: Blanchardstown (Hybrid Model)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor. The primary responsibility of this role is to support our client's mission by purchasing suitable sites or existing homes for social housing and overseeing their preparation for occupancy. This includes managing renovation, construction, or improvement projects to ensure that properties meet the required standards for safety, quality, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Stock Condition Surveys to assess the condition of existing properties.
  • Arrange for necessary repairs and maintenance works based on inspection findings.
  • Implement planned and cyclical maintenance programs to ensure the ongoing upkeep of properties.
  • Monitor and inspect work carried out by contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Provide development surveys and assistance to the facilities manager to support effective property management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in knowledge of planning, building control, construction, and building regulations.
  • Experience in all stages of the construction project development cycle, from planning to completion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Relevant professional certifications or memberships (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are desirable but not essential.

Location and Working Arrangement: This position offers a hybrid working model after probation and training has been completed - 3 days WFH & 2 Days in the office.
