Job title : Fleet Support Manager

Work place : Dolphin Drilling Limited in our Aberdeen Office

We are currently looking for a highly experienced Fleet Support Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Technical Officer, the role is permanent and the successful candidate will be responsible for fleet support and manage the technical support team within the Company. The successful candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

Role Requirements:

  • Manage the Fleet Support Section.
  • Manage the technical condition of the fleet MOUs, including:
    • Physical condition;
    • Technical documentation;
    • Technical compliance, including class and statutory certificates and approvals.
  • Manage the team of discipline engineers, as detailed above.
  • Acting as mechanical superintendent with subject matter expert responsibility and advising on hull & machinery systems and equipment.
  • Manage requests for modifications and/or upgrades to fleet MOUs:
    • Review and approval of modifications and/or upgrades.
    • Manage the implementation of modifications and/or upgrades.
  • Responsible for the technical document management process.
  • Provide qualified input to tender activities.
  • Undertake other tasks or projects as instructed by the Chief Technical Officer.
  • Adhere to and implement, where applicable, Company quality, safety health and environmental procedures.

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Holds or has held a Chief Engineer (111/2) CoC STCW or degree or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal qualification.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with design, construction, operation and management of MOUs.
  • Proven skills in a management position.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
Start date Start as soon as possible

Work hours Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week.
