Salary: Up to €630 per week

We are currently seeking a skilled Commis Chef/Production Chef to join a team in a production kitchen for a thriving retail business As a Production Chef, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and production of high-quality food items to meet customer demand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong organisational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of food items.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production and service of food items during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels for production.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times, including proper storage, handling, and labelling of food items.
• Assist in the development of menu items and specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed, ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.
• Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to maintain high levels of food quality and consistency.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Production Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating high-quality food items.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene.
• Flexibility to work early morning shifts starting at 6 or 7 am.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
