Job Description - Data Analyst Product & Customer Insights

Job Summary

As the Data Analyst focused on Product & Customer Insights, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer experience through your analytical skills.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Product, Operations, and Sales teams, turning complex data into actionable insights for customers and internal teams. This position is perfect for someone with solid experience in data analysis and eager to deliver impactful insights for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Gather Requirements . Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Sales to develop customer-facing reports and insights.
  2. Build Reports . Use Google Looker to create, automate, and keep our dashboards up-to-date, making sure we always have the insights we need.
  3. Maintain and Improve Data Infrastructure . Work with Development on ongoing improvements of data models and data infrastructure.
  4. Analyse Customer Insights . Dig into the data to find trends and patterns and provide actionable insights to senior management and wider teams on how we can serve our customers better.
  5. Assess Product Changes . Understand how new product features affect Customer Insights and ensure our reports reflect these changes.
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally . Work closely with Operations, Product, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing teams to implement analytics-driven strategies. Provide analytical support for cross-departmental projects.
  7. Improve Processes . Continuously seek opportunities to improve data collection and analysis processes. Implement best practices in analytics and data management.
  8. Document Everything . Keep clear records of how we do things, making it easy for the whole team to understand and use our data processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked on product insights within a startup environment with advanced usage of Google Looker and LookML.
  • Proficiency in SQL, statistics and data visualization tools such as Google Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Advanced mathematical skills for collecting and analysing data, ability to understand complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate insights and findings.
  • A high level of organization, with exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude, with a genuine desire to help customers achieve their goals.
  • A strong passion for technology and an eagerness to make significant contributions to a rapidly growing SaaS company.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, adaptable to changes and challenges.
