Frontend Developer with ReactJS

Job Description

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Investment Banking Securities Services, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

 

Job responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services
• Develop ADA compliant applications
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Hands-on practical experiencewith JavaScript; strong knowledge of its quirks and workarounds
• Hands-on practical experience of web markup, including HTML and CSS
• Strong understanding of ReactJS and NodeJS
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and promises
• Good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Good understanding of unit testing frameworks such as Jest
• Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Good understanding of browser rendering and performance

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies
