Job Description

As a Data Analyst you act as a member of the Tax & Regulatory Reporting team within the Transfer Agency Department whose primary responsibility will be to analyse system extracted data to collate regulatory reporting on investor holdings. The role will include analysing investor account data against tax and regulatory reporting requirements and preparing subsequent regulatory submissions for the department and clients. Day-to-day oversight of tax positions, TA KPI reporting and oversight of tax account classifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with tax and regulatory reporting to ensure reports are accurately prepared and submitted in a timely manner
  • Perform FATCA/CRS oversight for the delivery of TA Ops services to clients across the business.
  • Work with the team to provide board reports on behalf of TA to the funds board of directors
  • Assist with the management of tax and fund audits
  • Provide timely and accurate information to clients and management on tax and regulatory reporting
  • Keep up to date with tax and regulatory changes and have the ability to articulate the impact to the business
  • Build relationships with clients, other third parties, as well as with other business groups across JPMorgan
  • Partner within the TA Ops department and across the broader team to ensure the completion of all end-to-end processes in line with JPMorgan Risk Management policies
  • Follow JPMorgan's established processes and procedures
  • Look to modify / iterate processes and procedures to continually improve accuracy, reduce redundancy, and mitigate risk
  • Engage in projects within your team and the TA Ops department including, but not limited to, new tax or regulatory changes, client on-boardings, system testing, etc.
  • Identify and action priority items within appropriate timeframes; escalate issues as necessary; relentlessly resolve aged items

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required (business discipline preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in the Financial Services/Funds industry
  • Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel (vlookups, pivots etc.), and Outlook
  • Advanced excel and data analytics an advantage

Position Demands

  • Extended hours may be required during conversions / deconversions of new business or systems, as well as during peak cycles (year-end, month-end, tax season, etc)
  • Cross-training support with the governance and control side of the team to provide support during peak audit / review times.
