We are looking for a hardworking Hotel Receptionist to join our awesome team at Blue Haven Collection in Cork.

The Blue Haven Hotel is located in the famously busy and picturesque harbour town of Kinsale, the gateway to The Wild Atlantic Way and only 25 minutes from Cork city. We are currently recruiting for a friendly Front Office Receptionist to work at our Hotel reception area. In this role, your duties will include answering incoming calls, bookings, and welcoming visitors. You may also be required to order office supplies.

To ensure success, front office assistants should possess experience in office administration and the ability to communicate with members of the public. Top-class candidates are capable administrators who make visitors arriving at the reception area feel welcome.

Front Office Receptionist Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and assisting resident and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Responsible for bookings, check in/out for guests in a polite & professional manner
  • Cash-handling, checking, and credit procedures.
  • To deliver a high level of customer service at all time
  • Reporting to management and performing administrative duties.
  • Answering telephone calls, as well as screening and forwarding calls.
  • Handling basic inquiries and sorting mail.
  • Copying, scanning, and filing documents.
  • Maintaining an orderly appearance throughout the reception area.
  • Performing other administrative tasks
  • Preparing monthly management reports on customer feedback, bookings, and cancellations.
  • Handling customer complaints and special requests
  • Will work up-close with Assistant Accommodation Team

Front Office Receptionist Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong I.T skills
  • Previous experience in a Front Office or Hospitality is a plus but not essential
  • Ability to self motivate and work alone
  • Above and Beyond attitude
  • Exceptional ability to create a welcoming environment.
  • Experience in answering and screening calls
  • Ability to observe business etiquette and maintain a professional appearance.
