Integration Engineer

We are currently recruiting an Integration Engineer within the Uniphar Group. This is a permanent position and an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to develop their career within a dynamic, fast paced environment at the center of a growing business.

The integration engineer will help establish, build, and maintain software integrations across various platforms, including identifying, planning, and executing integration designs, creating tools for other developers, ensuring ongoing monitoring, and maintaining builds.

The integration engineer must be able to communicate effectively and clearly, often having to deliver difficult messages related to bug fixing, problems and workarounds. Being able to explain what is happening, why it is happening, and possible solutions allows the xDI Developer to manage challenging situations.
The xDI Developer should be leading the way in xDI best practices, including those related to code maintenance and dev-ops.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Determining that the outcome of the integration has met the organization's needs.

• Educating the organization and clients about the system and hardware integration procedure, its implementation, and its use.

• Integrate and implement hardware and software solutions across an organization or its different components.

• Managing a broad range of software and other programming tasks to ensure that their systems integrations are functional.

• Defining integration strategies and methods and then planning them in accordance with established deadlines and time schedules

• Creating and providing technical documentation that explains upcoming or existing integrations to non-technical individuals.

• Devising and reporting on integration development plans and strategies, with a focus on xDI.

• Developing asynchronous messaging architectures, rule-based systems, and network architectures.

• Coordinating activities with other developers to ensure that integration projects are completed on time.

• Formulating strategies and designing architectures for xDI integrations.

• Ensuring that xDI best practices are followed, both by the customer and its suppliers.

• Checking and correcting conflicts in data configurations and overlaps.

• Maintaining the integrity and smooth functioning of the xDI's integration architecture.

• Analysing and improving current system integrations and migration strategies.

• Identifying, debugging, and advising on system errors or architecture issues.

• Assisting with the management of organisational databases and retrieval systems.

Experience/Skills Required

• Solid understanding of integration patterns, messaging architecture

• Solid understanding of XML, XSD, JSON and information exchange standards

• SAP experience- both S/4 and ECC6

• Software dev experience in one or more languages

• Experience with cloud platforms primarily Azure, but AWS is relevant.

• Solid understanding of Web APIs, REST, SOAP protocols

• Experience with EDI standards.

• Understanding of security concepts, least privilege defence in depth

• Understanding of authentication protocols oAuth, SAML

• Relational database skills SQL, Oracle etc
