Principle Objective

The role of the Private Clients Interior designer is to work with Proline’s customers to collaborate on their requirements, design goals and budget and then develop the best ironmongery design concepts using your creativity and expertise to find innovative solutions for their projects. The person should provide our customers with a knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service whilst at the same time optimising sales and gross profit. They should promote the company's products and services in a professional manner and deliver a superior standard of customer care to our customers. The role is based in our showroom in Inchicore but would require travel to visit clients at site. This role is unique in nature across the group in a niche market with high-end private clients.

Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent
• Experience as an interior designer ideally with knowledge of architectural ironmongery.
• Experience of working with architects, QSs, builders and other interior designers.
• Familiarity with the construction industry is advantageous and knowledge of building regulations is beneficial.
• A proven track record of achieving and exceeding both sales and margin targets.
• Proficiency in IT applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with the clients and their advisors to understand their requirements thus ensuring that the correct products are supplied.
• Use knowledge of ironmongery to make suggestions for hardware or find solutions for difficult doors.
• Prepare creative designs and quotes for all jobs and schedule all successful tenders.
• Support Contract sales team in Proline with design thoughts and product suggestions.
• Responsible for layout of customer showroom in Inchicore and for design and layout of product sample boards.
• Broader support role for kitchen showrooms in the Panelling Centre.
