QA Engineer - Manufacturing

Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving product and process quality improvement programs, analyzing quality costs, managing customer complaints, and conducting reliability evaluations and process capability studies.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to safe working practices at all times, including the use of PPE, and acquire knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, work instructions, and associated documentation.
• Lead quality improvement programs using recognized problem-solving and project management techniques.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to achieve our Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
• Evaluate quality trends and reasons for product or process failures related to customer complaints and lead corrective action plans.
• Assess quality costs and determine critical causes.
• Prepare and approve quality assurance specifications and assist in the formulation of written policies/procedures.
• Align and integrate company test procedures with International Standards requirements.
• Assist in determining inspection frequencies and sampling plans using significance testing, capability studies, and data analysis.
• Participate in the validation of all new tooling equipment, methods, and products.
• Ensure compliance with specified regulatory requirements across all areas.

Requirements:

• Third-level qualification in science or engineering.
• Demonstrable Lean/Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
• Quality Qualification is desirable.
• Minimum of three years experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
