Job Summary
Manor Homecare are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to effectively lead and manage the quality function, providing service and support to the Operations Team to achieve our aim of delivering the highest quality, person centred care to clients.
The Quality Manager is responsible for maintenance and enhancement of the Quality Management System, in compliance with ISO 9001; which includes- agreeing clear quality objectives and action plans, the development, implementation and review of evidence based policies and procedures, agreeing and reviewing an agreed audit programme and analysis of agreed quality indicators and datasets to ensure continuous improvement in quality of service and effective risk and opportunity management.

External: Regulatory bodies; auditors, contractors and suppliers; training bodies.

Job Objectives
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving the following key outcomes:
- Quality Management System - maintain and enhance in compliance with ISO 9001 with the overall objective of improving and maintaining the highest levels of regulatory compliance and resident/client experience
- Regulatory monitoring - support the operations team to review and document outcomes from regulatory activity to share learning and to highlight trends and areas for improvement to ensure all activities are fully compliant and exceeding National Standards
- Auditing- support operations team to develop and review an effective and robust audit programme
- Reporting - ensure all local and corporate reporting is completed on time and to the highest standards , including corporate CSR reporting
- Policy development- co-ordinate policy development and review in accordance with evidence and updated knowledge and practice requirements
- Risk Management- co-ordinate a multidisciplinary approach to ensure an open and just culture where risks are identified, assessed, controlled and reviewed and that lessons are shared to reduce risk to residents and clients.
- Complaints management- support operations to provide an efficient response to complaints and to ensure learning is shared to reduce risk of reoccurrence.
- Customer Experience- support the delivery of regular customer experience surveys and co-ordinate the development of action plans to address the feedback of residents and families.
- CSR- actively support corporate and local actions and initiatives to progress agreed CSR objectives
- Transformation Programme - actively support the implementation of agreed local action plans to ensure corporate transformation objectives for the Quality domain are achieved in full and on time.
Skills Requirements
Essential:
- A registered General Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- Minimum of 5 years in a Director of Nursing role
- Evidence of successfully leading and managing change in older persons' residential care setting
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- A post registration management qualification in health or a related field.
- Proficient IT Skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- Full, clean driving license
Desirable:
- Masters or higher qualification in a management or healthcare related field
- Evidence of developing and implementing strong quality management systems and practices across multidisciplinary teams
