Job Description - Sterilisation Engineer

Job summary
Support the sterilisation programme at Cook Medical Lead and support improvement projects in sterilisation Develop an in-depth knowledge of the sterilisation program
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Support the Management of the sterilisation programme at Cook Ireland • Lead and support improvement projects focused on EO consumption, cycle time, and cost • Maintain project timelines and provide updates to leadership • Schedule, direct, and report on product residual testing • Assess sterilisation standards and implement updates • Join the Cook Global Sterilisation team and participate in projects • Develop and review product assessments for EO Sterilisation cycles • Investigate process-related non-conformances • Consider Cook's Code of Conduct in all business matters • Travel on company business
Requirements
• Third level degree in Microbiology, Science or Engineering • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role • Ability to interpret data and resolve complex analytical problems • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • ETO Sterilisation experience • Knowledge of microbiology • Knowledge of medical device quality standards/practices • Excellent communication skills • Proven problem-solving skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel • High self-motivation and team member skills • Availability to travel on company business • Beneficial if experienced with Oracle Agile document control systems
