SUPPLY PLANNER

OUR ROLE

Are you a proactive problem-solver with a passion for supply chain excellence? Join our team as a Supply Planner, ensuring seamless product replenishment with our suppliers. You'll support inventory objectives, manage cash flow, and address supplier issues, from capacity planning to seasonality. Take charge of the entire product life-cycle, from launch to obsolescence, and make a significant impact on our success!

 

This position is based in Middleton, WI and reports to our Supply Planning Manager. The role is full time and is hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS

Responsibilities:

  • MRP and Inventory Management: Review and analyze MRP requirements, manage purchase orders, and support the inventory plan for assigned suppliers and product lines. Monitor demand, expedite, and de-expedite orders based on customer demands and forecasts.
  • New Product Launches and Promotions: Collaborate closely with Supply/Demand Analysts, marketing, sales, and forecasting teams to streamline the setup and ordering of new items, ensuring successful execution of promotions, new products, and Plan-O-Gram changes.
  • System Integrity and Planning: Maintain planning system integrity, manage item planning setup, life-cycle process changes, bill of materials/work orders, rework orders, and forecast transition dates. Ensure accurate system setup for SKUs/vendors to support correct planning.
  • Supplier Communications: Regularly review priorities with suppliers to ensure sales commitments are met, maintain open communication regarding annual forecasts and capacity constraints, and conduct supplier visits as necessary.
  • Customer Service Liaison: Serve as the key contact for Customer Service regarding inventory availability, participate in daily Customer Service meetings to communicate delivery issues and meet customer demands.
  • Data Analysis and Performance Improvement: Monitor and maintain all system data for planning and inventory management purposes, analyze inventory changes and supply issues, and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement related to the item portfolio.

WHO YOU ARE

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Operations Management with a focus in Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in key aspects of supply planning, demand planning, inventory control, and/or statistical analysis.
  • Exceptional computer literacy, including proficiency with ERP software (SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc.), Microsoft Office suite, Business Intelligence reporting tools (Cognos), and Product Lifecycle Management software.
  • Strong math, problem-solving, and statistical skills.
