Wedding Co-Ordinator

The Galway Bay Hotel is seeking to recruit an  Wedding Co-Ordinator .

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable, in particular a proven track record in sales performance with clear ability to convert business opportunities.
• Customer communication skills of a very high standard.
• Excellent attention to detail with clear ability to creatively present case to customer.
• Proven negotiation and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively to minimise inefficiency and maximise productive customer contact.
• Ability to work within a team, whilst driving the sales agenda in a very busy environment.
• A relevant third level qualification would be desirable but not essential.
• Fluent level of spoken & written English.

Selling Process

• Show-arounds
• Brochure/Packages
• Wedding Room
• Yield Management - for key dates
• Wedding Tasting Afternoons/invite for dinner
• Training/Beat the Budget
• Quotes/Tailor made packages

Booking Process

• Provisional Booking
• First Wedding Deposit/Beat the Budget
• Wedding Process/Handover

Post Booking Process

• Wedding Tasting
• Changes of dates/cancellations
• 2nd & 3rd Deposit chase
• Wedding detail
• Wedding Orders
• Wedding Audit
• Ad hoc - liaising with Management team

Marketing of Weddings

• Wedding Fairs - non operational/operational
• Trade Shows
• Activity Planner
• Focus Groups
• Competitor Analysis
• Diary Date Management
• Rate Discussion
• Brochure (stock control) ad hoc flyers etc.
• Signage
• Websites

Wedding Reports

• Weekly
• Monthly
• Yearly
• Database Management

This role is not limited to the above areas and an element of performing other functions of the Sales process may be required at times.
