As the Activities Manager (H&S), you play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of leadership and employee satisfaction within our dynamic organization. Your comprehensive role encompasses managing all aspects of Activities, staff training, client delivery, preventive maintenance, asset management, purchases, and more. Reporting to the Operations and Regional Managers, you are the key advocate for Health & Safety (H&S) operations, ensuring correct and rigorous adherence to policies throughout the company. Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage, motivate & develop Senior & Assistant Senior Instructors.
• Conduct regular briefings and meetings with Senior & Assistant Senior Instructors.
• Create metrics for KPIs, ensuring excellent customer experiences.
• Ensure operational readiness of Activity departments.
• Manage special events like Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Summer Camp, etc.
• Implement and train staff on H&S policies, focusing on efficiency and development.
• Collaborate with senior management to ensure seamless systems and guest satisfaction.
• Conduct accident investigations, draft reports, and work on preventive measures.
• Assist in designing, implementing, and managing the CAC environmental sustainability program.
• Establish and manage a sustainability team.
• Directly manage the team in Centre Operations.
• Demonstrate commitment to Company Values.
• Ensure adherence to H&S systems across all departments.
• Oversee Emergency Procedures training.
• Continually monitor and improve operational systems.
• Record and report all incidents & accidents.
• Organize routine training on H&S matters for staff.
• Oversee departmental management, including Land, Sea, Sky, Properties, with a focus on Maintenance, H&S, Inspections & Standards, Training & Development, Operations, Systems, Asset Management & Purchases. Qualifications:
Desirable qualifications relevant to Outdoor Education and Business Management, including but not limited to:
• Mountain Leader (ML)
• Single Pitch Award (RCI /SPA)
• Canoeing Ireland/UKCC level 2 (or above) Kayak/Canoe Coach
• ISA/RYA Powerboat Level 2 (or above) qualified or Instructor
• European Ropes Course Association (ERCA)
• D1 Bus Driving Licence
• QQI Train the Trainer
• PPE Inspector
• IRATA Rope Access
• Valid First Aid
• Any other qualifications relevant to Outdoor Education or Business Management are desirable. Experience Required:
• Managing Multiple Departments and Teams.
• Analyzing operational efficiency and implementing improvements.
• Knowledge in HR systems, procedures & protocol.
• Competency using Microsoft Programmes.
• Previous experience in Outdoor Education, Sports & Equipment.
• Customer Service Excellency. Key Characteristics:

• Strong decision-making and organizational skills.
