    Overall Purpose of the Job

    The appointed Environment and Sustainability Manager will be responsible for providing a professional Environment andSustainability Programme to Apleona Ireland & Clients.

    Main duties and Responsibilities

    • Support, grow and develop the ESG Programme in line with local and Group requirements.
    • Build the Sustainability Strategy for the business in line with Group requirements and set meaningful targets whichare aligned with core business values and objectives.
    • Develop and execute the Annual ESG report.
    • Promote a positive ESG culture within the organisation through the development of the Sustainability Committee,education and training initiatives and promotional campaigns.
    • Identify opportunities and implement practical initiatives that will consistently improve the organisations ESGperformance.
    • Part of the GreenSpace team who recommend and deliver ESG opportunities to clients.
    • Where applicable, contribute to and / or take ownership of schemes and initiatives aimed at demonstrating ESGperformance e.g. EcoVadis, BCorp.
    • Provide guidance and support to the Leadership Team to ensure effective strategic decision making in line withlegislative requirements and best practice.
    • In time, expand the ESG function into a client facing service.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject area e.g. Environmental Science, Business Sustainability.
    • Working knowledge of associated legislation including, EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), EUTaxonomy and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
    • Good report writing skills.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Full Clean Driving Licence.
    • Access to own vehicle.
    • Membership of a recognised body.

    Working Pattern

    Monday - Friday, 09.00 - 17.30
